List of positional candidate genes after correcting for multiple testing and controlling the false discovery rate from genome wide association studies (GWAS) retrieved from the NHGRI-EBI Catalog of published genome-wide association studies (http://www.ebi.ac.uk/gwas/). The disease/trait examined in this study, as reported by the authors, was Schizophrenia (cytomegalovirus infection interaction). The EFO term schizophrenia, cytomegalovirus infection was annotated to this set after curation by NHGRI-EBI. Intergenic SNPS were mapped to both the upstream and downstream gene. P-value uploaded. This gene set was generated using gwas2gs v. 0.1.8 and the GWAS Catalog v. 1.0.1.

Genome-wide association studies are conducted of two human cohorts, one group demonstrating nicotine dependence and another successfully quitting smoking. Study shows that some genetic components associated with the ability to quit overlap while many do not overlap. To perform the study, DNA samples were obtained from NIH volunteers and the allelic frequencies of the samples were analyzed using Affymetrix array analysis. This gene set comprises 290 genes associated with nicotine dependence.

Gene set has 67 genes associated with nicotine abstinence. Backgound: In this study, genome-wide association studies are conducted for two human cohorts, one group demonstrating nicotine dependence, and another that successfully quit smoking. The study shows that some genetic components associated with ability to quit overlap while many do not. To perform the study, DNA samples were obtained from NIH volunteers and allelic frequencies of the samples were analyzed using Affymetrix array analysis. Table S2.

Chronic cocaine - Cocaine vs. Saline DNA microarray increased expression 20 mg / kg / day for 7 days Pair-wise comparisons were made between all 4 conditions (WT Saline, WT Cocaine, KO Saline, KO Cocaine), which generated 4 lists of genes 1.2-fold differentially expressed with a P < 0.05. Genes that were significantly regulated by these criteria in the first duplicate study and validated directly via qPCR were included in the final lists. (NIF Table ID 36 [42])
