Gene Ontology (GO) gene set. This set contains genes that have been annotated to the GO term "ARC complex", which is defined as "A ribonucleoprotein complex that contains members of the Argonaute family of proteins, additional protein subunits, and duplex siRNA; required for heterochromatin assembly and siRNA generation. Possibly involved in the conversion of ds siRNA to ss siRNA." This gene set was automatically constructed using annotation and ontology data provided by GO and only includes annotations with experimental and curatorial evidence codes (EXP, IDA, IPI, IMP, IGI, IEP, TAS, IC). The transitive closure of this term is taken into account using is_a and part_of relationships. For more information: The Gene Ontology Consortium (GOC), http://geneontology.org This gene set was generated using the GeneWeaver GO loader v. 0.2.8.

Gene Ontology (GO) gene set. This set contains genes that have been annotated to the GO term "hatching behavior", which is defined as "The specific behavior of an organism during the emergence from an egg shell. In Drosophila for example, the larva swings its head reiteratively through a semicircular arc, using its mouth hooks to tear apart the chorion in front of it and thus free itself from within the egg shell." This gene set was automatically constructed using annotation and ontology data provided by GO and only includes annotations with experimental and curatorial evidence codes (EXP, IDA, IPI, IMP, IGI, IEP, TAS, IC). Human Phenotype Ontology (HPO) gene set. This set contains genes that have been annotated to the HPO term "Recurrent singultus", which is defined as "A contraction of the diaphragm that repeats several times per minute. In humans, the abrupt rush of air into the lungs causes the epiglottis to close, creating a hic sound. Also known as synchronous diaphragmatic flutter (SDF), or singultus, from the Latin singult, the act of catching one's breath while sobbing. The hiccup is an involuntary action involving a reflex arc." This gene set was automatically constructed using annotation and ontology data provided by HPO and includes gene-phenotypes annotations from all HPO sources. The transitive closure of this term is taken into account using is_a relationships. There are discrete populations of IL-17 and IFN-γ-producing T-helper cells in psoriatic and normal dermis and peripheral blood.18 As murine Th17 cells can produce both IL-17 and IL-22,15 we wanted to investigate whether IL-17-producing cells in normal human skin and peripheral blood could also produce IL-22. We assessed expression and localization of receptors for IL-17 (IL-17R) and IL-22 (IL-22R1) on cells in normal human skin using immunohistochemical staining (n = 5).

Positional candidates for ZM_LATENCY measured in BXD RI Males & Females. ZM_LATENCY measures the latency to enter an open quadrant under the domain Basal Behavior. The QTL found on Chr 15 is a Suggestive QTL and spans 73 Mb to 79 Mb.
To monitor the expression levels of a large number of genes and to identify genes not previously implicated in traumatic brain injury pathophysiology, a high-density oligonucleotide array containing 8,800 genes was interrogated. RNA samples were prepared from ipsilateral hippocampi 3 hr and 24 hr following lateral cortical impact injury and compared to samples from sham-operated controls.

Following morphine exposure, expression profiles of 159 genes in the rat nucleus accumbens indicate that gene expression changes occur not only during exposure but also long after cessation of drug-treatment. This gene set comprises 47 genes found to cause morphine-induced gene expression after 3 weeks of abstinence.

Differentially expressed in the Nucleus accumbens following 24 hr continuous 9.5g/kg/day alcohol drinking vs. water drinking in alcohol preferring rats. Estimated BAC in the alcohol exposed group was > 85mg%. The 406 significanlty different probe sets represent 374 uniquely named genes, with most gene expression differences in the range of 1.1-1.3 fold.
A list of genes whose transcript abundance in the PFC changed significantly 4 hours after an acute dose of ethanol (1.8 g/kg). This list was generated using Fisher's Combined Probability test to analyze saline vs ethanol S-scores across B6 and D2 inbred strains (n=3) and 27 BXD RI lines (n=1). Statistical significance was determined using 1,000 permutations of S-score data and selecting for probe-sets with q-values < 0.05. Aaron Wolen 5-26-10.
