GeneSet Information

Tier III GS399873 • Mean and standard deviation of the relative expression in amygdala of rats of the genes studied following morphine self-administration normalised to vehicle self-administration values (RT-qPCR)

from Publication Assignment: 448

DESCRIPTION:

18 genes differentially expressed in the amygdala (Amy) following morphine self-administration normalized to vehicle self-administration (VhSA) in adult male Lewis rats. Expression levels were measured with RT-qPCR. Values presented are fold-change taken from table Table 1.

ABSTRACT:

Addiction is a chronic disorder with a high risk of relapse. The neural mechanisms mediating addictions require protein synthesis, which could be relevant for the development of more effective treatments. The mTOR signaling pathway regulates protein synthesis processes that have recently been linked to the development of drug addiction. PUBMED: 30887859
