This set contains genes that have been annotated to the GO term "somatic muscle development", which is defined as "The process whose specific outcome is the progression of the somatic muscle over time, from its formation to the mature structure. Somatic muscles are striated muscle structures that connect to the exoskeleton or cuticle."
