This set contains genes that have been annotated to the GO term "retina development in camera-type eye", which is defined as "The process whose specific outcome is the progression of the retina over time, from its formation to the mature structure. The retina is the innermost layer or coating at the back of the eyeball, which is sensitive to light and in which the optic nerve terminates."
