GeneSet Information

Tier I GS270916 • GWAS Catalog Data for brain serotonin transporter measurement, response to paclitaxel in 143 European ancestry individuals

DESCRIPTION:

List of positional candidate genes after correcting for multiple testing and controlling the false discovery rate from genome wide association studies (GWAS) retrieved from the NHGRI-EBI Catalog of published genome-wide association studies (http://www.ebi.ac.uk/gwas/). The disease/trait examined in this study, as reported by the authors, was Paclitaxel-induced neuropathy. The EFO term brain serotonin transporter measurement, response to paclitaxel was annotated to this set after curation by NHGRI-EBI. Intergenic SNPS were mapped to both the upstream and downstream gene. P-value uploaded. This gene set was generated using gwas2gs v. 0.1.8 and the GWAS Catalog v. 1.0.1.

TITLE:

Genome-wide association study identifies ephrin type A receptors implicated in paclitaxel induced peripheral sensory neuropathy.

JOURNAL:

Journal of medical genetics Sep 2013, Vol 50, pp. 599-605

ABSTRACT:

Peripheral neuropathy is the dose limiting toxicity of paclitaxel, a chemotherapeutic drug widely used to treat solid tumours. This toxicity exhibits great inter-individual variability of unknown origin. The present study aimed to identify genetic variants associated with paclitaxel induced neuropathy via a whole genome approach. PUBMED: 23776197
