Progenitor strain DBA/2J exhibits increased activity with activity decrease over time following ethanol challenge whereas progenitor strain C57BL/6J exhibits low activity with activity increase over time. (DBA/2J x C57BL/6J)F1 hybrid animals resemble the DBA/2J response to ethanol challenge.
