Gene expression changes in the post-mortem nucleus accumbens of chronic heroin abusers. Overall, little overlap in gene expression profiles was seen between the two drug-abusing cohorts: out of the approximately 39,000 transcripts investigated, the abundance of only 25 was significantly changed in both cocaine and heroin abusers, with nearly one-half of these being altered in opposite directions. 1050 Transcripts had different in abundance between the majority of heroin subjects and their matched controls.
Whole Brain Gene Expression Correlates for SPD_TIMEDOWEL30SEC measured in BXD RI Males obtained using INIA Brain mRNA M430 (Jun06) RMA. The SPD_TIMEDOWEL30SEC measures Dowel Test - Time 30 Sec under the domain Porsolt. The correlates were thresholded at a p-value of less than 0.001.

Whole Brain Gene Expression Correlates for VOCA_THRESHOLD measured in BXD RI Females obtained using INIA Brain mRNA M430 (Jun06) RMA. The VOCA_THRESHOLD measures Vocalization Threshold - shock intensity (mA) under the domain Stress Vocalization. The correlates were thresholded at a p-value of less than 0.001.

QTL for ethanol withdrawal on Chr12 at D12Ncvs38 (14.25 Mbp , Build 37)
Description:
ethanol withdrawal spans 0.00 - 39.25 Mbp (NCBI Build 37) on Chr12. This interval was obtained by using an interval width of 25 Mbp around the peak marker (Build 37, MGI, http://informatics.jax.org).

Rats in separate cage with free choice of water or 5% (v/v) of ethanol; consumption scores (grams/kg/day) were averaged; the ethanol consumed were measured every 2 days over two weeks. Variance 38, p-value 0.003, LOD 3.1 Peak Marker: D6Rat46. Spans 1-35786687 Strains were WKY, HEP. Also known as Coet5a (Consumption of Ethanol 5%).

Analysis performed on raw data in GEO2R with default settings. These are derived sets from the publication data. The data is available in GEO, and was analyzed using default setting in their suite of tools. This allowed the production of age independent differential expression set to be created for bHR vs bLR by brain region. Something not presented in the paper.
