List of positional candidate genes after correcting for multiple testing and controlling the false discovery rate from genome wide association studies (GWAS) retrieved from the NHGRI-EBI Catalog of published genome-wide association studies (http://www.ebi.ac.uk/gwas/). The disease/trait examined in this study, as reported by the authors, was Bone mineral density (hip). The EFO term bone density was annotated to this set after curation by NHGRI-EBI. Intergenic SNPS were mapped to both the upstream and downstream gene. P-value uploaded. This gene set was generated using gwas2gs v. 0.1.8 and the GWAS Catalog v. 1.0.1.

Chronic cocaine - Cocaine vs. Saline DNA microarray increased expression 20 mg / kg / day for 7 days Pair-wise comparisons were made between all 4 conditions (WT Saline, WT Cocaine, KO Saline, KO Cocaine), which generated 4 lists of genes 1.2-fold differentially expressed with a P < 0.05. Genes that were significantly regulated by these criteria in the first duplicate study and validated directly via qPCR were included in the final lists. (NIF Table ID 36 [42])

Whole Brain Gene Expression Correlates for ACTI05_ETHA measured in BXD RI Males obtained using INIA Brain mRNA M430 (Jun06) RMA. The ACTI05_ETHA measures Distance traveled (cm) during the first five minutes after ethanol under the domain Ethanol. The correlates were thresholded at a p-value of less than 0.001.

Whole Brain Gene Expression Correlates for ACTI15_ETHA measured in BXD RI Males obtained using INIA Brain mRNA M430 (Jun06) RMA. The ACTI15_ETHA measures Distance traveled (cm) during the third five minute bin after ethanol under the domain Ethanol. The correlates were thresholded at a p-value of less than 0.001.

Differentially expressed in the Nucleus accumbens following 24 hr continuous 9.5g/kg/day alcohol drinking vs. water drinking in alcohol preferring rats. Estimated BAC in the alcohol exposed group was > 85mg%. The 406 significanlty different probe sets represent 374 uniquely named genes, with most gene expression differences in the range of 1.1-1.3 fold.
Heterozygote mice from a hybrid cross of C57BL/6J and FVB/NJ had heightened EtOH consumption, preference or blood EtOH concentration compared to either homozygous groups. The magnitude of dominant deviation on Chr. 11, as noted in Fig. 9, was measured after a drinking in the dark paradigm, 24hr two-bottle-choice and subsequent blood ethanol concentration measurement.
