List of positional candidate genes after correcting for multiple testing and controlling the false discovery rate from genome wide association studies (GWAS) retrieved from the NHGRI-EBI Catalog of published genome-wide association studies (http://www.ebi.ac.uk/gwas/). The disease/trait examined in this study, as reported by the authors, was Systolic blood pressure (alcohol consumption interaction). The EFO term systolic blood pressure, alcohol drinking was annotated to this set after curation by NHGRI-EBI. Intergenic SNPS were mapped to both the upstream and downstream gene. P-value uploaded. This gene set was generated using gwas2gs v. 0.1.8 and the GWAS Catalog v. 1.0.1.
The majority of DEGs were also modulated <2-fold when compared to vehicle-treated controls as was observed in the HCT116 cells. Of the 2448 DEGs modulated by vorinostat treatment in HT29 cells, 138 were up-regulated and 53 were down-regulated >2-fold. Of the 3509 genes modulated following treatment with LBH589 in HT29 cells, 163 genes were upregulated and 54 were downregulated >2-fold. The top 15 up- and downregulated genes for both vorinostat and LBH589 treatment in HT29 cells are displayed.
