Each clone was dotted onto two identical membranes; equal amount of cDNA was used for the synthesis of DIG-labeled probes and hybridization. The cDNA of six animals in each group was pooled and used as hybridization probes. In order to minimize false positive results we used cDNA for hybridization that was not used for RDA
